Manuel was born in St.Pölten, Austria. A goalie since 1996 in the Lower Austrian league. Manuel is a former player in the Vienna Junior Capitals organization. AB-Licence Coach and a junior goalie coach in St.Pölten for the newly formed minor hockey program, the STP Tigers. Manuel joined the Okanagan Hockey Academy Europe as an assistant and goalie coach.
