Jason is Head Coach of the Okanagan Hockey Academy Europe und coach of the U-17 team. A native of Fredericton, New Brunswick (Canada), Jason played four years at St. Thomas University, obtaining two degrees during that span, and being named an Academic All-Canadian. Upon completion of his education, he officially retired from playing in 2002, turning his focus instead to coaching and teaching. With a diverse resume ranging from coaching, Skill Development with minor and Junior hockey players, he has developed a very unique approach to instruction that incorporates both practical and theoretical experience and application. Jason became involved in Hockey Canada’s High Performance Program with the U-16 and U-17 programs in Alberta and BC, where he served as Head Coach in each instance. Currently, Jason is completing his High-Performance certification with Hockey Canada, a proud partner of OHSE. |

Elias is coaching the L.A. Stars U-15 that plays together with our Vienna based partner team, the 48 Tigers. He has a background as a professional player and coach who is helping young athletes become better hockey players through effort, respect, discipline and passion. Elias learned to play hockey while growing up in Toronto, Canada where he rose through the minor hockey ranks before receiving a Hockey Scholarship to Michigan Technological University. With more than 30 years of coaching experience at all levels, Elias has helped numerous young players develop their hockey skills and achieve their goals. |
Athletic Therapist & Trainer |
Born in Montreal, Quebec (Canada), Leanne was an Academic All-Canadian during her four years of study at the University of Calgary and Mount Royal College. A Certified Athletic Therapist and Strength and Conditioning Coach, Leanne has worked at the upper levels of her profession, including the Canadian National Soccer program and the World Masters Games. Leanne was one of the lead Therapists at the University of Calgary, serving as the Sport Therapy Services Coordinator, and helped supervise the therapists for one of the fastest growing minor hockey programs in the country: Calgary Minor Hockey. Her experience in all sports has been proven on the provincial, National, and International stage, and will be an excellent building-block for the strengthening and maintenance program of the L.A. Stars program. |

Tommy Wehrhan is the Academy´s Equipment Manager and Assistant Coach. He also coaches the 48er Tigers U-13 team - a partner team of the Okanagan Hockey School. Tommy was born in Salzburg, Austria. He played four championships for the Austrian under 18 and under 20 National Team. After playing 12 years as a pro for several teams in Austria (Salzburg, Vienna, Innsbruck, Graz,..) he retired in 1998 from playing and startet to work as a Coach. Tommy is a Head Coach for the Lower Austrian under 13 Selction since 2005. After working for 5 years for the Fair and Fun Hockey Camps as a Head Instructor, he became an instructor for the Okanagan Hockey School and a member of the Coaching staff for the Okanagan Hockey Academy in 2009. |

Andy Oakes is the President of Okanagan Hockey School and the Okanagan Hockey Academy. His experience in Junior Hockey as a player and scout give him an excellent background for developing hockey programs. As Director of the International Development Tournament and General Manager of the Okanagan Hockey Academy in Penticton, he is dedicated in helping students become better Hockey players and better people. |

Markus Houben is the Managing Director of the Okanagan Hockey School Europe and Okanagan Hockey Academy Europe. Markus holds the relationship with Lower Austria International School and is responsible for quality assurance of the academic program of the academy. From his employment with a leading global IT provider, Markus brings a wealth of experience in General Management, Management consulting and IT-Management. Markus Houben has been a dedicated follower of Ice-Hockey since the IIHF world championship took place in Vienna in 1987. |

Alex Antonitsch is responsible for Public Relations and is also the mental trainer of Okanagan Hockey School and Okanagan Hockey Academy Europe. He is a former international tennis player with many successes on the ATP-tour and was a member of the Austrian Davis Cup team in the 1980s and 90s. Being born and raised in Carinthia, Ice hockey has always been a big passion of Alex. |

Hary Schroeder is the Finance Manager of Okanagan Hockey School Europe and Okanagan Hockey Academy Europe. His professional background is Tax Accounting and Consulting. As a former figure skater, Hary has the necessary credentials to be part of an Ice Hockey organization. He also manages a Minor Hockey club in Vienna - the 48er Tigers. |
