Young Stars Crush Ice Lions 19 - 0

The U15 Star / Tigers combo proceeded to crush the WEV Ice Lions in the most loppsided game of the season.
The Stars handed WEV a defeat they will not soon forget, scoring almost at will in the 19 - 0 debackel. Patrick Dieber with five, Hugo Jansons with four, Florian Baltram with three and defenseman Emil Sztatecsny with a pair lead the way in the goal scoring department. Single markers went to Wilding, Hack, Lindmaier, Blüml and Gutestam with numerous players picking up multiple points and assists.

The score was secondary as the game was never in doubt but the execution and passing showed that the Stars are starting to see the ice better and look for one another.

Coaches Ccomments: There was very little to say after this one, but we have to forget this one fast and concentrate on the next game against the Jr. Caps Monday night in St. Pölten. Games like these are super confidence builders if you don't get too carried away with yourself. We need to make sure that everyone knows this was nothing more than a light skate and not get swollen heads. We scored because we played as a team and we will need a team effort to beat our next opponent.
We will have our work cut out preparing the boys mentally after a game like this!
