Stars Give Away Point
St. Poelten - The Christmas break is over but the Stars are still handing out Gifts. The Stars came out with a decent 15 minutes of hockey to open up the game. Although the hockey was far from perfect, we knew it would be tough to get back into the swing of things after the long break. The second period would surely bring some better entertainment for the fans....well how about the third? No such luck on this day. The jump was missing the passing was missing the shooting was missing the grit was missing...the LA Stars were missing. After building a 3-0 lead after 32 minutes of play, it was very heart breaking to see the WEV fight back and out play the Stars for the second half of the game. It was obviously very dissappointing to give up a point, but it was the way we gave it up. Congratulations to the WEV who never gave up and played to the buzzer, something that has been a trademark for our team in the past. The Goal Scorers for the Stars were Nikolaus Hauer, Matt Flamand, and Sebastian Habernig. It will be a tough week of practice again as we prepare for the Black Wings on the 30.01.
