U15 Stars go down in Linz
The under 15 Stars were not able to continue their winning ways and lost a tough game in Linz 6 - 5.
After a good start the teams were tied at one on a Paul Koudelka goalie but took an unnecessary goal late in the period to go down by one.In the second the flood gates opend and allowed Linz to score twice more before some damage control could be done. Chritoph Kitzeneeger scored late in the second frame to give the youngest Stars and Tigers some hope going into the third now only down by two.
In the third a hard slap shot from Marcel Brichta beat the Linz goalie and the road team got to within one. Unfortunately that´s the best they could muster before taking two more Linz tallies to end the game.
The boys played hard and to thier credit never quit which was nice to see. The Squad needs to learn the defensive game which at this age is always a challenge but with time and patience they will. Up front we need to be hungrier and connot give up so easily. The offense will come in time and the team is sure to improve.
